The Youth in Parliament Forum (YIPF) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, who passed away at the age of 83 after a brief illness.
In a condolence message signed by its Director General, Hon. Tony Nwulu, the Forum described the late Mama Lydia as a woman who lived a remarkable life defined by love, discipline, and selfless service to her family and community.
The Forum noted that her values and legacy are reflected in the leadership qualities embodied by Professor Yilwatda.
“While we share in your grief, we are comforted by the knowledge that Mama Lydia Yilwatda lived a fulfilled life and left behind worthy legacies that will continue to inspire generations,” the statement read.
The Forum prayed for God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the family, as well as the entire All Progressives Congress (APC) family, the strength to bear the loss.
The condolence was conveyed on behalf of the Chairman of the Forum, Hon. Olamijuwonla Ayodeji Alao Akala, and the entire membership of YIPF.
