The Youth in Parliament Forum (YIPF) is hiring!
We are seeking applications for the role of: Special Assistant (SA) to the DG on Special Duties
If you are passionate about youth participation in governance and want to contribute meaningfully to our mission, this role is for you.
Support the DG in designing, planning, and implementing YIPF projects, programmes, and initiatives.
Coordinate project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Ensure proper documentation, monitoring, and reporting of all YIPF programmes.
Liaise with stakeholders, partners, and government agencies to ensure smooth execution.
Provide strategic advice to the DG on project priorities and youth-related interventions.
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, Development Studies, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in project management, programme coordination, or policy implementation (NGOs, government, development sector, or private sector).
Strong knowledge of youth development, governance, and public policy issues.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure.
Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is desirable.
Excellent project design, planning, and execution skills.
Strong analytical and research abilities.
Competence in budgeting, reporting, and monitoring & evaluation (M&E).
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passionate about youth empowerment, governance, and nation-building.
