The Youth in Parliament Forum (YIPF) has launched a nationwide training program to equip Nigerians with the skills needed for the growing electric vehicle industry. The program combines awareness workshops for drivers, students, and logistics workers with certified professional training for technicians and engineers.
Training will take place across all 36 States + the FCT, covering EV fundamentals, high-voltage safety, diagnostics, and hands-on maintenance.
The forum aims to train 100,000 Nigerian youths in 2026.
At the program launch, the Director-General of the parliament stated that the training will be made available not just by the states but also quotas will be shared amongst the 6 Geopolitical Zonal Commissions, the 19 Political Parties, and a Diversity Share for those who are disenfranchised.
